If you want to innovate, contribute to the new economy, and live a more fulfilling life, you have to be a leader. Leaders have confidence and know where they want to go. While doubts may creep in, they forge through it and don’t second-guess their gut.
No matter if you’re an intern or a CEO, you must always lead without fear and without care for the failures that may ensue. You have to fail fast, fail often, learn and keep going. If you’re in a job or an environment that doesn’t value this, leave. I know that’s easy to say, and I’m not advocating quitting without a new job, but don’t stay, you’ll be unhappy.
Leadership comes at every level. If you’re an entry level manager and you find ways to lead in the tactical work you’re doing, you’ll grow fast and here are always opportunities.
Are you leading?
