Perhaps the biggest challenge for me on a day-to-day basis is having patience. Whether it’s patience with my kids, with the morning commute, or with my work, my motor revs pretty high most days. The key to keeping your job – now and in 20 years – is to understand you have to grow and learn and change continuously. Once you reach the end of the “prime” of your career, and climbing the ladder doesn’t matter to you, that doesn’t mean you stop learning and reinventing yourself. If you stop, you stop contributing to the business world and to society.
